Ok so im about to get a Mitsubishi big 16g what all do i need im only getting the turbo also I wanna run a external waste gate so what all do i need to run a 16g with a external waste gate?

The mods fuel , tuning device, wideband, those first you dont need a waste gate with that turbo lots of threads on this did you look in the forums yet? 2g install kit look at vendors here there are lots of them.

assuming a stock car: 16g install kit or just find a j pipe and a u bend to connect to your stock IC and a oil feed line. You can bend around the coolant lines to fit. Youd have to weld the wastegate flapper shut and run an external WG off the exhaust mani or take out the internal WG flapper out all together and run your external WG off the o2 housing.

Besides a j-pipe and the wastegate, u need an exhaust manifold that could take the wastegate....oh and the MOST important thing: SEARCH!

You don't really NEED anything else if you just plan on running a 16g on stock boost. Yeah you're going to need fuel mods, a tuning device, wideband if you want to increase boost. You're most likely going to get boost creep if you put on a 16g, unless you do get the External WG, but it's not really needed. Before you install the turbo get it ported that will help cure the boost creep. I run a 16g with just a wideband(for now) and it's fine.

The install just requires a j-pipe. You can modify your existing oil return line to fit. As said, to run an external gate you'll either need a manifold made for an external+welding shut the flapper, or removing the flapper and getting an o2 housing setup for an external gate. Do you plan on recirculating or dumping the wastegate?

Currently, you would be best to get fuel and tuning device before the external gate. Not to mention you would be wise to port the wastegate inlet on the turbine housing unless you want to experience boost creep. You would most likely get creep also without porting if you have an external gate off of the o2 housing.

Keep the boost bat 15psi or less and you'll be good. You should stay at stock wastegate pressure as your IDC% will already be at or near 100%.

Obviously get a 16g with install kit for a 2g.. For ease of running the external wastegate, get an O2 housing with wastegate flange.. then you are set for installation then get a tune for the more flow.

Oh ok its cause the thing is im getting a big 16g with the exhaust side ported and polished and next month when i have more money im getting a dsm link tial 38mm v band wg 11500cc injectors and a walboro 255 fuel pump.. witch is better to run an external wate gate through the manifold or the 02 housing? sorry im a new to the dsm and turbo scene and dont know jack about them.

you got some mods for, not knowing much about it, still you should do some research on, the parts for your car, and manifolds and waste gates get a manifold with a spot for the waste gate, did you loook at manifolds yet there on vendors, nice information there once you look at it, plus it will give you prices and ideas.

yes the manifolds for an external wastegate are 700+ not including a wategate i looked at punishment racing and there selling a 02 housing with a wastegate flange for 500 and also comes with a tial 38mm wg.

Both manifold and o2 hosing will do the same job of getti g the exhaust routed past the turbine. The manifold mount will get it out quicker and regulate flow better if attached to the collector.

O2 mounted would be cheaper unless/easier unless you can weld or find block off flanges.

11500cc injectors? That's a whole lot of fuel.

yes it is im getting them for real cheap.

O2 housing sounds better im in a welding class and i can just weld the flanges

a wastegate on a 16g is really unnecessary, you'd be better off saving your money. BUT if you do decide to install one it really doesnt matter if you put it off the o2 housing or the manifold. All you need to do is weld in a flange to mount it on either one.

As far as the injectors, im assuming you meant 1500? Those are massive, and really unnecessary, you could use 650cc and be absolutely fine. The fuel pump is a good choice though. As far as the DSM link, again, for the 16g its not needed. save your money and get an SAFC and a wideband. That'll give you PLENTY of tuning capabilities for your setup. spend the money you saved on a 16g 2g install kit from slowboyracing.com or from one of the other vendors on here.

On the other hand, if you do have the money to spend on all of these extra parts, why not just go with a bigger turbo??

Reason im getting big injectors is because im planing on going E85 and reason why i dont go bigger turbo is because ima be running all this on stock motor and stock trans :ohdamn:

Yeah, if you want to run E85, then I would get as big of injectors as you can. 1000cc at least.

You need injectors that can deliver 33.3% more than what is needed for pump gas.

So just get injectors that are at least that much bigger.
