What air fuel ratios make best power on 93 pump gas? Is this setup good for 24psi?

thats a good safe tune. You could probably lean your WOT out some more. 11.2 is a good number

Well its gonna lean out i have a boost leak right now so i should be even better once its fixed.

By the way 22-24psi with this setup is fine u think=

If your wideband is reading good, and with that head gasket and studs...yes i think its fine
 
It all depends on how much timing you're running. Some cars make more power with more timing and richer AFRs while other make more with less timing and a leaner mix.

Well all i have is a custom chip in the car right now its just how i bought it these are some of the stuff on the chip 8000rpm rev limit,680cc injector compensation and deadtime, 2g mas compensation, custom fuel and timing maps. Octane reset, fuel cut removed. How can i tell how much timing is being pulled?

Like I said in your other thread man, you need a logger & at least an SAFC or DSMLink to fine tune your setup
 
Assuming you peak 16-17* you will not want to go higher than about 24psi on pump. The nice thing about logging is that you can push it and KNOW if you are pushing it too hard. If you have no way of knowing timing or knock retard then you most likely don't IDC's or knock ct. To answer your questions, log and find out if you are ok cause the same cars are never the same.
 
yea i def need a logger but i been running it on 22-24psi without blowing anything up or a logger with my air fuel ratios on the rich side 10.6-11.1 for almost a yr now LOL

By the way is it better to run the aem wideband sensor in the o2 housing or after? i have mine about 36" away on the dp from the turbo.
 
Just saw this so I'll just post the answer to your question even though the thread is old it could help some one.
They usually say about 36 inches from the turbo, so about 3 feet. The closer to the turbo the more accurate reading your gonna get, but you will lose life on the sensor. Also you will mount it on a slight angle facing down so there is no water build up in the sensor.
 
My air fuel ratios at idle are 14.6-15.1 and wot 10.7-11.0 at 22-24psi is this good?
If you're shooting for max power, it depends what your timing curve is like, how efficient your intercooler is, and plenty of other variables like EGT's, outside air temp, etc. This is why tuning is so crucial, and a good tuner is so valuable....they must calculate all of these variables on every car they tune sometimes without the proper monitoring devices. Remember- if tuning were easy, everybody would be good at it. :D

Let's put it this way- according to your AFR's, you're not going to hurt anything with your current tune. ;)
