Ive been thinking for awhile now about my new intake. I have an obx one that I was going to cut up and mod to fit my needs but I don't want to cut it up if I can just use the stock intake. I want to cut out the curve and make it a flat intake kinda like on the 4g63 JMF ones. So my question is could I just cut my stock intake off about right after the fuel rail and weld a plate of aluminum to it. I have both mig and tig welder setup with argon gas. Ive done a bit of aluminum welding in the past but not on intakes. Any help would be appropriated thank you.
