Turbo Intake Manifold on N/A

To answer your question quickly no it will not work.

You will not gain any power from an aftermarket intake manifold with no supporting mods. And they are not the easiest thing to install either since they are bigger then stock which gives you minimal room to work with. Ask me how I know :)LOL. You have a 420a motor so incorporate that into your search when you look for parts. If you just want to dress your engine up I suggest painting things yourself or getting them powder coated. If you look at my profile and browse my pictures you will see what I'm talking about since we have the same engine but my car is an eclipse. You might want to do more research before investing in a 420a car because once you start you won't stop so make sure it's a car worth keeping. No point to spend money on things if your motor is old and tired. I knew to start at the heart of my vehicle which was the engine. Don't be like a young Honda kid that puts on a fart can and thinks he has a race car LOL.
 
Uhmm short anwer , you cant use anny of the intakes from those links.

Both are for the 4g63 (and 4g64) engine, wich are totaly diferent from the 420a you got :(

The pictures in the link you posted aren't correct since the throttle body opening is on the opposite side. The only venom intake I've seen on a 420a is round not square so I'm sure they are out there but I thought they were discontinued. And for 600 bucks I can think of 3 different things that would actually make your car quicker and look a little better for the same price.

well i got that link form the first link he posted , i found it on the bottom of the page,
haha and its listed to fit on (and i quote) "95-97 Eagle Talon 4Cyl. w/o Turbo", haha and i also dont see the point on spending 600 buck on an intake for a stock car :/

What would you suggest I get instead? I have always loved the eclipse/eagle body but settled with a Talon since it is almost the same but more rare. And am trying to avoid getting a loud exhaust to avoid being seen as one of those kids. looking at this part also:

The Megan header is decent and people have ran them with no issues. So that's a good upgrade. Just with bolt on parts you won't get a ton of power but the drivability is better. Cold air intake, under drive pulley, bigger throttle body, exhaust system. How many miles are on your motor? And also the money spent will never add up to the hp gain. If your like me and didn't care go with it. There is an upgrade path on this website which is a good guide line to start with I would look that up and read it throughly. Most people forget about matinence and that's a big key.
 
Get the car running smooth get an exhaust and few other little things like plugs and wires and call it good. You won't make much power at at without turboing the motor and that will cost$$

Thanks for all the help. I've looked at other things to do besides turbo and nitrous and am going to get the headers and just do a little work on fixing up the ride to make if more comfortable. So over all saving money to buy either a GSX, or GST

Always need to mod them to work right. Like ithers suggested invest money on other parts that will gain you hp better and faster. Need a good built motor before trowing an intake manifold to get the power you want out of it.

Have you installed an obx intake before on a 420a ? Because mine fit just fine but I installed it on an engine stand. Now dropping the motor in with the obx manifold on isn't easy but it's definitely doable with patients. Hooking up the vacuum lines is a big pita.
 
Also should I stick with regular (87 octane) gas for the ESi? We use Chevron and plus is 88, and I know to stick to the lower range causeI don't have a turbo so premium isn't a necessity. But would I get better MPG if I use the plus grade with 88 and like 10 cents more, since I have to drive about 360 miles on tuesday

Nope your motor is stock so save your money stick with 87octane.

And the stock intake manifolds flow pretty good with just a port and polish and larger throttle body.
Cheapest upgrades you could do first is.. 1.get a gst axle-back exhaust 2.get a cold air intake 3.get a larger throttle body(jeep throttle body upgrade is the cheapest route)

I found one on AutoAnything but it's for a turbocharged engine. Do you know where I could get one for a 420a?
