My car has 500 miles on it after oem rebuild, check my profile for mods, runs really strong, I have my MBC set at 14-15 psi, I was out driving it today, I did a hard pull and I started hearing a whistle when my turbo spools up, I retorqued all of the turbo/o2/exhaust bolts, I dont think I blew out any gaskets, they are all MLS, except the downpipe gasket, but I have never blown one of those out. Checked all my vac lines and IC piping, couldn't find anything. My turbo is brand new MHI evo3 16g from FP, I have plenty of oil flow, in-line filter with no debris in it, doesn't smoke or make any whistles/weird noises at idle, or when I rev it in place, only with a load on it. I checked the turbo for shaft play, there is very little, about the same as when it came out of the box. What could this be?? I really hope it isn't my turbo

That link helps a little, but it did not happen right away, like I said 500 miles later, I checked the j-pipe gasket, seems to be fine, also, it goes away after the turbo is fully spooled, I'm starting to think it is my BOV (greddy type s) because the sound is very similar. Or could it be my Hallman Pro? It started after I turned the boost up from 13 to 15. If the turbo was going bad it should whistle all the time correct? (idle/partial spool/full spool). Should I hook up the other nipple on my BOV to a boost source? I'm going to try turning my boost back down tomorrow to minimum and see if it goes away. Also, my BOV has 100k miles on it, possibly going bad? Sucks because it only whistles under load, so I cant pop the hood and find it :hmm:

I will do BLT tomorrow, but kind of doubt it, all new silicon couplings with t-bolt clamps, I visually checked them, they are all still tight as hell. I will update when I turn the boost down and do a BLT. I'm starting to think maybe a TB gasket...
