Happens in 1st and 2nd gear, and idling only so far.

Lights will flicker and RPMs will shoot to 0 as if the car is about to die, yet it stays running. Will jerk a little like if you stalled it out in 1st, but runs fine after the twitch.

Just started doing this after my car came home from the shop.

I think it has something to do with the HIDs (Bought the car from an idiot) because when the car has the issue, the front left headlight will either go off, or come back on.

This is really bothering me, because I dont know what it is. Please do not tell me to pull the ECU and do something to it. I do not know about cars or this car to that extent, and it is irritating how people post in the Newbies telling people to pull shit out of their cars and know what theyre looking at...

Ive already tried pulling the codes but nothing is shown past or present.

What I think it may be:
Bad battery
Short somewhere
Bulb is out in the light
Bad fuse?

I think this is also related to the mysterious CEL that comes on after a 2nd/3rd gear pull. It comes on then goes right back off, with no code. Both of these problems just started after I got it back from the shop and they had to unplug my battery with reset the computer.

None of those would cause CEL, Pull your ecu... JK
Try to search for any loose or corroded plugs any of it could cause the problem while moving cause of the vibration of the engine also it used to happen some thing similar to me and was due to knock more than 3 degrees and the car will throw a cel look if your intercooler is clean and breathing right while you're there check for boost leaks. I would tell you also to scan it but I'm not sure if it will show any code since the cel goes on and off but some times the ecu stores the code so give it a try too

Grab one of these or similar -> Newest Smallest ELM327 Bluetooth V1 5 OBD2 OBDII Auto Diagnostic Scanner Adapter | eBay

You'll just need a laptop and a bluetooth adapter and start logging. You'll see in the logs what's going wrong.

Im not so sure its something engine related. I am atleast 90% sure it is an electrical problem, like a short, bad fuse, or faulty wiring.

Where do I start finding the source? Ive checked around the front left headlight and its wiring and everything looks okay. It does have what looks like another power source connecting to the HIDs. Its a big box that connects the power to the light, one on each light.

Will the datalogger ^ that guy suggested pick up this problem, because I dont think it will.

Need to know ASAP! This is my DD and the problem is becoming quite annoying -_-

That datalogger is awesome. I used it with my OBD2 cars. You just need good software. In any case. I would go to autozone and try to pull codes. The code might be stored as a historical code.
