CEL issue

My mods before the CEL issue. 2G maf, 560ccs, Walbro 255, FPR, 16G.

I took out my ecu to have it serviced and socketed. I received it back and reinstalled it. At the same time I installed a 3 inch exhaust system. Started the car all seemed to sound and run normally. I drove around the block and tired to get on it. The car choked and the CEL came on. I hooked up my LED tester and it showed code 12 which means maf. I disconnected the battery and let it sit for awhile hooked it back up and still the same CEL. I left it overnight and started it up the next morning and the CEL was gone but my LED tester is still flashing code 12. I drove to work and it boosted fine no CEL.

Is my ECU whacked or did the maf go bad all of a sudden?

Well do you have access to try another airflow sensor?

I left the 2g stuff hooked up (vac lines) and just plugged in the 1g maf and same CEL. Do I need to completely install the 1g intake stuff? I also did not disconnect the battery should that have been done to clear the code?
