Hey guys been a while since I posted. I haven't been driving my car much but now since college has started back up I am trying to get her ready for the commute.

Well I have 2 issues.

1. My car will not blow hot air for very long. I let it warm all the way up and turn on the heater and it blows hot air for like 5 secs then gets luke warm. Then to cold. It is like this even after driving for 30mins. Also if I shut the heater off and wait about 5mins and turn it back on it gusts hot air out for a few seconds then back to cold. My ECMlink shows that it is getting to 120-125 degrees. I think I may have a bad thermostat? Just need some advice.

2) I have 2 codes, 1 is 0141 which is rear 02 heater malfunction, which I know why, I have my AEM UEgo wired to the back but is there a way I can make it so it doesnt show up? I cleared it with ecmlink but it came back.

2nd code is 0443 Evaporative purge control valve malfuntion. I have done some things to eliminate what it could be. It is not my gas cap as it doesnt make the swoosh noise at some have said. No holes in gas tank. Sometimes while driving with the windows down and moonroof opened I can smell a faint bit of fuel not much. But I would like to fix these issues.

Thanks for your help!:thumb:

You are probably right. I just ordered a new one from STM.

Anyone able to help me find parts numbers for these?
does anyone have part numbers for

EGR Solenoid
EVAP purge solenoid
Fuel Pressure solenoid

Looking to replace them.

Also looking into getting new fuel filter. I am sure mine has never been changed.

I would prefer an aeromotive one just because I already have an Aeromotive AFPR but what ever works. If a stock replacement will do just as good im fine with that too.

Thanks for the help guys!

Here are the part numbers for the solenoids

Well got a new thermostat put it in with new coolant. Let it run without the radiator cap so no bubbles.

Put the cap on let it run for 15mins or so while I had some food.

Went out and turned on the heater it blew hot air for a minute then back to luke warm as if it was warming up before it got to the hot air that you want.

So I shut off the heater let it sit for a minute or two and turned it back on. Hot air blows out for few seconds then back to luke warm. I let it sit on full blast and it started to get colder.

The temperature did not change no matter what fan speed was selected. I got my i
infrared heat gun that I use for cooking and the top radiator hose was about 155-160 degrees hot to touch. The hose that goes down to bottom of the radiator was cooler about 90 degrees for the longest time then it warmed up to about 140-150 but it did not feel as hot to touch it as the top radiator hose did.

The thing is, before I did my build it would blow hot air like no other.

When I was done with the build and driving it I did not use the heater because it was just hot out no need for heater. So I don't know what caused it to not be hot.

I need heat. MY windows had ice on them this morning

Also I checked my old thermostat. Put it in water and boiled it. It opened all the way. Then put it in cold water and closed all the way. So I am pretty sure it has nothing to do with the thermostat not functioning.

I took a cruise with and without the heater on maybe it can help?

Bad heater core? What it really sounds like is your coolant system has to burp, but you might have that worked out.

I just got back in from letting it run with no radiator cap on at idle and the coolant is full did not drop any. There is tiny little bubbles coming up. I don't know if that means its trying to burp or what. But heater is still acting the same way LOL.

The top is really hot I use my infrared heat gun to check the temp on the hose. Says about 155 degrees
The lower one is hot but not as hot it doesnt burn my hand to touch it LOL The gun says about 130-150 degrees.

the lower hose is what goes back into the motor, so it should be cooler. Luke warm air is about 80 degrees if it is what you're saying and scolding hot is 120 degs. So theoretically, the only problem lies with the actual heating unit. The cooling system for everything else seems to be working fine.

Just a thought I had. While I had my motor out, I removed the A/C and just pluged the holes that the a/c hoses ran to. WOuld that affect anything?

If you left the evaporator in the heater box than it won't effect anything. If the hoses are getting up to temp than it kind of seems like it could be something in the heater box like the blend door or maybe debris in the fins of the heater core.
