Hey guys, got a question here. I have "strange boost". What I mean by this is that the boost differs by gears, and also each gear will be different often. for instance, first, im not too sure since its so short but its usually hit 11 and bleed to 7ish as the same with 2nd. 3rd and 4th are more like hit 15 and bleed to 13 and then 5th it just keeps on pulling up more and more and i think it tapped 17 maybe 18 psi on the nose once. However, other times it'll hit like 15 in 2nd and bleed to 12 and hold 14-16 in 3-5th. My wideband all during this reads to be 10.-10.7 afr. I dont have a logging device or tuning device as of now since im saving for DSMlink.

This is with:
T-25
SSauto FMIC
joe P mbc
n1 turboback
extremepsi intake
190 pump

So what gives?

what are you using for gauges???? you may actually have a boost leak going to your gauge a kid in my town had one and for awile it was flucuating (not sure why) and then it would only go to 16 psi. He kept on turning up his boost (factory srt-4) and finally brought it in. They connected a new boost gauge with new hoses and he was hitting 33 psi on factory srt-4 internals. Otherwise, maybe it is your bcs solinoid or a big boost leak on a coupler (the coupler may shift and sometimes leak more air that at other)

Really wish i had a tester, thats the thing. I ordered one off of a fella but it never showed up. I figured boost leak too...but the way it hold sometimes and other not confuses me. Could it be the size of the intercooler vs the size of the turbo? Also, could it maybe just be a faulty boost gauge? I've noticed with the car off it will sit about 1 1/2 under 0. It came with the car, SPW made it.

if you have a leak near your gauge, you can hear it. Depending on how close it is to you...it sounded like a wind tunnel in my car.

I would love to, LOL but I can't find a damn schraeder valve in the area. So I tried to buy one off of a user here, never got it, he told me he would ship another, never got that, and so 2 minutes ago I just ordered one off of ebay, and wouldn't ya know, the name on paypal matches the guy from before. :( the usernames didn't match thats why I went through with it.
