2G Water Pump Question

So my water pump pulley seized today, so I need to change my water pump, but do I also need to change the pulley?

Unless it was damaged in some way you don't have to change it , meaning you dont have to buying a new one Obviously you will have to unbolt it and swap it onto the new pump (4bolts).

Thank you. I've done my share of timing belts and water pumps but never have had a seized pulley. I figured it would be the same but just wanted to check. Again, thank you.

Just watch the way the 2 water pump pulley halves come off so you don't put them back on backwards. BTW, you'll have to remove the timing belt to replace water pump.

Thanks for the heads up, this isn't my first time doing a water pump though (first time on a DSM). I appreciate it.

If the pulley seized, bet the pump now needs replacing. Plan on a belt change while you got that front end of the motor all torn apart.

Get a brand new water pump belt too, and only use brand name ones I like the gates brand just don't use the auto parts store house branded belts and you will be okay.

So I have everything off and the car is just sitting in my garage waiting for a new water pump. I had to ship one in from Vancouver so it's 1-3 days till I can get started. Anything else I should replace while I'm in there? My timing belt is 100% fine, less than 2000km on it. I already got new powersteering and alternator drive belts.
