i took of my recirculating tube on my bov and took it out for a spin to hear the bov (i know ### but a easy head turner) when i got on the gas to like 3500-4000 it sounded like my bov was letting loose already. i was talking to a dsmer friend and he said that it was the wastegate I'm wondering if it was or wasn't??? :dsm:

More reason to recirculate, you're not losing metered air just during shifts.

unless you are running an external wastegate or an exteral dump off of your downpipe, you won't be able to "hear" your wastegate. It was your BOV.

My 1G valve started to leak on me when I first got my car running. We initially started the car without the divirter tube on it. It was leaking at idle so I put a good used one on it and it works perfectly.

i've taken off my recirc tube a couple times just for fun as well, but because the 2g bov leaks so badly the car won't hold any boost over like .3 bar. you can definitely hear it dumping good boost while i'm on the gas. i'm lookin at aftermarket bovs, but i wouldn't vent unless i had the MAF.
