I bought a new E3 16g. It's a chinabay though.... but for only $125, not bad..... Anyway, got her all installed. She boosted GREAT!!! Great power. only one thing i noticed, the compressor will spin just a tad, not the shaft but the actual compressor housing. weird, but ok i hope. so i went to adjust my wastegate arm on my chinabay turbo, because i have a wastegate arm adjuster LOL. anyway i went to turn the nut that hold it tight and SNAP, the arm broke off the shaft that opens and closes the flapper. now for some reason this pivots left and right( open and close the flapper) and up and down (nothing). when i slid the arm back on and tried to weld it it worked, but it's just not strong enough. I don't want it to break under boost and get bad spike. So Any ideas? I just bought an O2 housing with a wastegate dump to Atmosphere. i really dunno what to do. it just seems like a really weak part. soo i dunno. i guess i'll try and weld it. Any other ideas, one thing i notice is i'm still gettin really bad creep, like worse than my 14b which makes sense. I'm stuck.

This is because even though the flapper is 34mm, the hole behind it is only 22mm:

Such a small hole cannot manage boost for sh!t, especially if your target boost level 12-18psi. You should've ported the hole before you installed the turbo, like this:

I can't visualize what's wrong with your wastegate arm, but if it's broken there's not much you can do aside from replacing the housing.

Damn, i had no idea. i bought an o2 atmosphere dump too.. hoping to control boost a little better. but yeah, the creep is so bad i can't floor it. period. the boost creep is absolutely ridiculous. I need a carbide bit to port right? gheez. can i take the turbine housing off without taking the whole thing off?

oh and i welded the piece back, seems to be working fine. dunno how permanent it is though.

Yep, carbide bit and a high speed tool.
You can pull the hot side off by itself.
You can also knock off some of the housing behind the flapper arm to let it open more so you can port the top of the wastegate hole.
