got everything ready to install core is mounted ran into two problems.. My overflow bottle no longer fits. any solutions to this? or is there a smaller one i can buy on ebay or something for cheap that will still let me use the sensor? second problem my open o2 dump hits the lower intercooler pipe, worried this will either damage the pipe or coupler from the heat and the fact that i wont be able to hook it up with them hitting each other. it comes in contact with the very bottom of the o2 dump pipes.... Dont wanna go back to the stock o2 housing, any solutions? thanks guys.

1 Move the overflow bottle.
2 Go back to the stock o2 just port the hell out of it.
3 PROFIT

where do most people relocate it too that looks clean on a 2g?

i dont have the stock o2 housing thats my main reason for not wanting to go back.

Just look on Ebay for any universal overflow bottle that'll fit with the piping there, measure how much space you actually have if you're attempting to put it in the same spot. I doubt you'll find something that allows you to accommodate the stock sensor.

As far as the O2 dump, most people weld on an extended pipe to position the exhaust gases a little more under the motor. You can either do that or find a stock O2 housing. The exhaust gases will be too much for the lower piping and coupler.

I mounted mine under the intake, where the stock BCS went

Can't help on the O2 housing, mine is stock and ported.

I cant mount mine there as the pipe coming from the core is right there, or am i miss understanding you?

If i opt to not use the sensor will i have any lights pop up on my dash?

Just put the overflow reservoir in the hole that the stock intercooler piping ran through that sits under the air filter. You won't be able to see it looking in the bay because the filter sits over the hole.

As for the o2 dump tube, mine is positioned so that the bend in the dump tube rests against the clamp so it doesn't touch the coupler. Haven't had any issues with it.

mine came with the car it might be a ebay one but it pretty much is going to dump right on the ic pipe

mine is bolted directly below my MAS. there were some pre existing holes that I used.

I mounted my overflow where the SMIC used to be. I don't have any good pics, but that's because it's hidden that well. LOL

NP, didn't know you were searching on ebay. I'm sure you could go to home depot and pick up some flexible piping that would get the job done.

What o2 housing/wastegate do you have? I have a PR o2 housing w/ mvs wg and the dumptube fits perfectly with the vrsf.

hmm ill look into that. did u use the bracket? also are the holes on the passenger side or of the front of the car?

No bracket needed.

im internally gated it looks like this one

95 99 Eclipse 2G DSM O2 Housing Dump Tube Pipe 4g63 V2A | eBay

but im not positive as it was on the car when purchased

Ohhhh gotcha. Yeah I could see how that could be a potential problem. If still internally gated, I would just go back to a stock or ss o2 housing. But if you really want the o2 dump, and you have enough room to work with, I would just attach a piece of flexible exhaust piping to the end of the dumptube and route it around the intercooler piping.

Let me find you the one I used. Everything fit prefect

I can't find it on autozone's website they might have discontinued it.

that looks nice, i looked on there website all they have are ss ones. question for you did you have to cut out the vertical lines in your bumper cover... idk how to explain what i mean, the two inserts in the main opening of your bumper cover...if you are using the 95-96 talon bumper cover.

I can take pics tom showing my fitment issues, both the o2 dump problems and the new issue of the bumper cover ...

to be honest i was much happier with the fitment of this on my 1g then it is on the 2g. my jpipe seems like the bend is off on my 1g it curls up then comes straight down, this one angles at the block which is why im having issues with the o2 dump. if the bend was straight down it would fit perfect, closer to the fan instead of angling out. also the nipple on the jpipe is in the oddest position facing the block which makes it hard as heck to get to, on my 1g kit it faces the intake pipe. Idk if vrsf messed this jpipe up or their dealers did or if this is truly how its supposed to be, but im not very impressed.

Yes I removed those inserts the core is rather large so to make it fit you will need to trim quite a bit of your bumper opening out. I didn't have any jpipe issues though, you could have gotten a defective one.

This is what mine looked like all said and done.
