Come on over to Lexington! I'll provide the top shelf bourbon

It's out of my control, well really it's out of our control.

It's a matching process and the sites rank the candidates, then the candidates rank the sites, and it goes through a matching process. Yipiiiieeee

I'll be looking to get into whatever new job I land ASAP though, a lot of it can be done remotely though. CPA werkkkkk

Lucky for you my wife is a recruiter for a large CPA firm based out of Cincy and she works remote. I bet she can get you in easily.

I know it's been years since I purchased mine from Carbonetics, but I think my carbon/ kevlar custom doors (I think I was the first kevlar ones he made), and carbon/ kevlar hatch, and sunroof took god.... Maybe 10 months to receive? The hatch got wrecked in shipping, and I had another 8 or so months to get my replacement hatch. All the parts were extremely nice when I got them. Build quality is top notch.

Message Mike @ Buschur's to see if he still has any of the molded polycarbonate glass for the hatch, he had some made that were excellent fits. Mine was from Optic Armour which was oversized and required trimming to fit.

Glass weighs something like 22 pounds, I would assume the polycarb weighs in around 6-8 pounds.

Bolted in this extra trans so I can put the car back on it's wheels and have it towed to storage while I move. Had a question on these dowel pins and their fitment. Right now it has all 4 mounts attached, rear has 2 of the 3 bolts attached, trans side has 2 attached, front is attached, drivers side is fully attached.

The trans that I took out of the car, didn't have this sort of spacing, I would NOT race/drive/or even start a car that has the trans mounted like this, I expect these to be flush, correct? Does anyone put any sort of grease on these to help them slide on ?

Also, random question on 2g fuel cells. https://www.vamosdesigns.com/product-page/2G-DSM-fuel-tank . Does anyone know if this person still makes these? Or has anyone seen one for sale? I'd LOVE to do this while the car is down and go from a 6an to 8an feed.

Keep wiggling the trans and it should slide on unless a dowel or hole is damaged. Do not force it on with the bolt. You can snap an ear off that way.

Noted. I won't be touching this for awhile, goes into storage for a few months while I move and get things situated at the new house.

I did put the bolt in that hole, but I did not tighten it to the point of it pulling the trans closer to the block, didn't want to risk the breakage.

I'll loosen everything a few turns and see if it will wiggle on further. Thanks!

Remove the trans mounts and bellhousing bolts and get the transmission aligned. It should literally slide on, or you will damage a clutch disk or other components.

Also, does anyone have any recommendations on a pump?

I need to pump out the gas that's in the tank, it's e85 and been sitting too long.
you don't need a pump. Just get a length of hose and put it on your fuel pressure regulator in place of the return. Put the hose into whatever container you want and fire the pump in the tank via dsmlink

Forgot about that option. doh.

Fuel rail/regulator are removed at the moment. Will just put the fuel feed in a bucket and kick her back on... after I recharge the battery :)

Trans is flush no, but now the upper intercooler pipe doesn't fit as well as it used to. Will have to find a fabricator in the new city to cut and weld so that it's perfect.

Less than two days until I find out where I'll be moving. Getting anxious because I want to start planning nowwwww.

Well, back on the ground and almost ready to be towed into storage. I forgot how low this thing sits...

Also forgot how good it looks; can't wait until I can get it moved and finished up, and drive the damn thing.
