1G VIN location on the firewall?

Hello. I'm completely new to these cars. I just bought a 1990 Eclipse 1.8. I was looking for the vin number and found one in the windshield, one on the drivers door jam and one in the sticker that is on the firewall. But I can't seem to find the one that is stamped right on the firewall. There is nothing where I believe it should be, to the left of the sticker where it has a bit of a bump? Did all of them have a vin stamped somewhere on the body or were the early ones different and only had the one on the dashboard?

The VIN isn't stamped into the firewall, it's on the sticker / placard only.

It may be worn off but it's the bottom line of this on the firewall.

@19Eclipse90 Interesting. I would think it was mandatory that it was stamped somewhere around the engine bay. Until now I only worked on European cars and those all have the Vin stamped somewhere under the hood.

@steve Yes I found this one the upper part of the sticker is worn off but the lower part where the Vin is is still visible.
