From time to time, when I let the clutch out the car shudders under throttle and doesn't really accelerate. sometimes as soon as I shift it fixes itself, sometimes it will carry into the next gear. Boost seemed to be around the psi's it should be for that amount of throttle.

This symptom has happened in every gear except fourth.

Any ideas?

Clutch is supposedly newer.
 
Is your knock sensor leaking goo out of it? I could possibly see the clutch chatter causing it to retard timing.
 
I can look into that, wasn't aware the knock sensor had goo in it...

I looked at my clutch master cylinder tank and it looks incredibly low (barely any in it). So my thoughts are that I am possibly getting air bubbles in my hydraulic line. However that shouldn't affect my clutch hook-up once the clutch is out right?

Like i said before, the engine and such seem to run normal (boost, throttle response, etc) except the car starts shaking and not going anywhere.

Thoughts?

Edit: Filled and bled the clutch lines/master cylinder and adjusted clutch pedal and master cylinder rod. We will see if that fixes anything.

well, took it to work today and same deal.

Went and pulled my codes and found a P0170 and P0302 Lean bank 1 and misfire cylinder 2. Not sure why yet.

Also, noticed that when the vibration/hesitation starts no matter how much gas i give it it doesn't increase rpms.

This makes me think that it is a fuel or spark related issue.

Would running on 3 cylinders give me the symptoms i described?

I feel like I am talking to myself at this point, but I replaced the spark plug in cylinder #2 and it seems to be ok now. I will mark resolved tomorrow if it stays good tomorrow.
 
Yes running on 3 cylinders will cause similiar effects, knowing you had a CEL on would've aided in diagnosis from the start.

You're lean code was more than likely from the misfire and pouring raw fuel down the exhaust.
 
Ok guys so after three months of being fine, the same symptoms are back.

So far to date I have:
Tried different wires
Tried different plugs
Tried a different coil pack
Replaced fuel filter - This actually made the running on three cylinders completely go away for two days. Then it came back just like it was.
Checked power transistor - it seemed fine (used luv2 rallaye's test)
Check fuel pump voltage - 11.5 V
Listened to all 4 injectors - All sound similar
Checked injector impedance (~3)

I have not checked the CAS because there seems to be no way to do that without a oscilliscope which I dont have.

a little bit of history. 3 months ago I got a lean CEL and a "misfire cylinder 2" changed out the second cylinder spark plug for a new one and it went away. No real problems till a couple of weeks ago. Did the coil pack (which reset the computer) and now i have a p0300 and p0170 (multiple random misfire, fuel trim). The care drives ok most of the time and can pull ok but seems like (especially at higher load and lower throttle input) starts running on three. Going WOT when stumbling doesn't help. As soon as i let of the gas or put the clutch in it resumes running on all 4 with an occasional miss.

I can not figure out what the heck it is. Any ideas?


Any help (the faster the better) would be great.
