I got a Manley Dual Valve Springs Kit with Titanium Retainers, but there were no valve spring seats with them. So I figured I just use the old ones.... but then I started to wonder do I need them. It would seem to makes sense that if I ordered a kit, that I would get everything in the kit that I would need, right? Maybe Manley doesn't want you to use the old valve seats....

Asking myself that only served to confuse myself. So what's the answer. Use the old spring seats or use none?

You want to use spring seats, no matter what. If they didn't come with the kit you bought, I think it's safe to assume they want you to run the stock spring seats. Without the seats, your valve springs will eat into the soft aluminum of the cylinder head.
