valve cover gasket doesnt fit right..are n/a's and turbos diff in design?

my oil's leaking so i bought a valve cover gasket to see if dat is the problem. now when i bought it, the guy ask if it was a 2.0L or 2.4L, so I said 2.0L. i assumed that only turbos are 2.0L. when i took it home n try to put it on, the curves and the gasket were too big and a little bit off, and the moon cuts were too short. could it be for the nonturbo ones?
