Hey guys, anyone know where to find these gaskets. I have a hyundai valve cover and the holes for the bolts are much larger and needs a gasket/washer underneath to stop oil leaking. They came on my JDM motor when I bought it and then when I had the car at a garage they were replaced but he doesnt remember where he got them and I cant find them anywhere. They ARE NEEDED for this so please dont tell me they arent haha.

Yes, all Mitsu gaskets come with the gasket, half moon, and spark plug gaskets but not the bolt gaskets. Hyundai used studs in place of bolts but I was wondering if there was a way to get those gaskets since obviously they are around...

Go buy some aluminum ring terminals for wiring. Use bolts that have a nice "shoulder" on them. Clip off the ends of the ring terminals so you just have the ring and use them as a crush washer on the valve cover.
Did that on my Hyundai VC, worked great. Too bad it was cracked from the get go. :(

Really that worked? Right now I have bolts with the washer thats supposed to have the seal under it with black rtv and a lock washer on top of that and the oil comes up through it all..maybe without the lock washer itd be better but I really dont want to use RTV it makes it a pain in the a$$ when taking everything apart again

It worked. I wanted something a little cleaner though.
I used Toyota FIPG (fixed in place gasket) around the bolt holes on the bottom side of the valve cover and then stuck the gasket in place so none would seep into the head. So far no leaks. We use no gaskets on a lot of things just because the FIPG works so well.
Stuff is ridiculously expensive though, but I guess that's the benefit of having some left over from a job. :)

I put a Hyundai valve cover on mine, no problem. Used the regular Mitsu gasket. Then you have to get some M6 sized bolts and washers. I forgot the length of the bolts, but they're longer than the stock ones because the Hyundai valve cover is taller than the Mitsu.

Believe i bought a mix of 35mm and 40mm, you will need some shorter ones for the spark plug galley though. Want to say 20-30mm for the galley.

I just actually removed this valve cover today to put on a mitsu one.
The studs i took from the same car (hyundai) and used them, with the rubber washers.
The spark plug area bolts are the same as others except the 2 next to the timing belt side. They are the only 2 shorter studs of the bunch. Here's a picture. the first one is one of the studs for the side nearest timing belt, next two are for the whole outer parameter and the last two are some i found on a different hyundai with the same cover, but are one solid bolt.
