ok so i know i have a vac leak but never could find it, but today i put a little pb on my ALT belt and at the top nothing happened, but i sprayed at the bottom where u can see the grooves on the inside, and my rpms raised, it happen twice so i know it was a coincidence. is there anything on that side that could cause a vac leak?

take a spray bottle of soapy water with you and, spray down the hoses and TB to get an exact location.

If you all ready did a vacuum leak and couldn't find it, You have to test part by part.

When you do a boost leak and can't hear or see any soup bubbling, the best method to find the leak is by parts.

Do a boost leak at the throttle body and check if there is a leak, If at the throttle body is not holding pressure, then remove and cap all the vacuum lines and do another test, if it holds pressure then start adding the vacuum lines, add one line and do a pressure test, keep adding one at a time and you will find which is the hose is leaking, after you fix all leaks at the throttle body, then move on.

An insignificant leak will make harder to find a big leak,. Make sure to fix all leaks before moving on,

Do another boost leak before the intercooler, if it holds, then go and do another after the intercooler, and finally do the last at the turbo inlet.

Hope it helps for some others, when they can't find a leak But knows the system can't hold pressure.:ohdamn:

You either made the belt slip, or you sprayed enough in the right direction to throw off the O2 sensor. The O2 sensor breathes through the hole on the back side where the wires exit. The signal voltage it produces is relative to the difference in oxygen concentration on either side of the ceramic bulb. If you displaced the local atmospheric oxygen by spraying, the sensor would read lean and add fuel, which explains the momentary idle speed increase.

Do a boost leak test.

yeah boost leak test or run over lines with propane, not lit of course and engine speed should increase when you hit the leak.
