a guy came into my work yesterday with a brand new turbo for said vehicle trying to find a couple of parts. My first thought was a HUGE t3/t4 but it was actually just the stock turbo for that truck..

anywho, we got to talking about it and I told him before he threw the old one away bring it to me I'll take it.. he said he would probably drop it off in a couple of days.

Has anyone actually attempted to make one of these work? It would appear to be a fairly easy install and it is also internally gated.

A guy gave me his old one he put a banks on in its place, i had to get a flange welded on my manifold and get bigger oil lines and make an 02 housing, after all was said and done it lagged like no bodys buisness, so i traded it to some idiot for a nice t04e and am very happy spools fast does not lag that bad 18 psi by 3100rpms,the big holesets and diesel turbos they are not practical for daily drivers, they dont build boost fast, :notgood: get a to4e they kick ass.

I pretty much knew I would have to get a smaller exhaust housing...

but after some thought a planning.. if I get it I think I am going to make it a single turbo for my small block s-10 project OMG :thumb: :D :rocks:

You could always try a small shot of nitrous to get the turbo spooled up alittle bit.

Aren't the exhause housings huge on those kinds of turbos, due to the larger volume of exhaust? That would kill a 4cyl engine.

with that huge of an exhaust housing like previosuly stated i would not bother. thre is clearly a reason that this has not been done. i belive the exhaust hosuing would need to be changed in order for it to bolt up anyways and i thnk its somewhat diferent. not saying that this is true but i think that the 25g size turbos come off of mitsubishi fuso trucks. i could be wrong.
