Try rockauto.com. Go to the tools and universal part section than click on engine, hoses and then turbo/intercooler hoses.

Those are usually rubber and not silicone. They do not hold up as well. I have used a few however. THis is a good site. Cheap and lots of variety.

Then go to the "store" section. Then to "rubber hoses and clamps"

The reinforced rubber straight stick couplers hold up as well or better than silicone couplers. The stuff is near bullet proof. After countless blown silicone couplers over the years i now use nothing but the gates straight reinforced coolant hose for my couplers.

I'm gonna have to disagree. Your stating opinion and may cause someone to follow in your incorrect foot steps. I'm not saying any of the crap won't work. But nothing you mentioned is better than 3 ply silicone.

The couplings in my link are the ones typically used in diesel applications. They are solid rubber. They do not hold up to pressure as well, are more prone to cracking over time, and do not have the heat/oil resistance of a standard silicone 3 ply coupler.

If your blowing silicone couplers your doing something wrong. Or using poor quality silicone couplers. I run 30-36psi through mine on a daily basis and never had any problems. I also have beaded edges on all of my piping.

The radiator hoses are at lease re-inforced, but they won't outlast a silicone coupler and are usually 2 ply. Not to mention I don't know of many 3"-5" coolant hoses out there.

There is a reason 3-ply silicone is the standard. :thumb:

I am not talking about your standard radiator hose. I am talking about gates straight stick nylon reinforced hose. It comes in 3 foot sections and in many different sizes. It does not dry out or crack. It is definitely stronger than a silicone coupler.
