used wrong sealant on water pump

It just dawned on me that I used clear rtv on my water pump instead of high temp. anyone want to place bets on how long till it leaks?

All bets are off. Didn't you see it was clear when you applied it?

It'll outlast the water pump bearings.

yeah I had so much on my mind that day it somehow didn't even cross my mind till a week later when I need clear rtv for something else. I was like OH CRAP this same tube I used on the water pump! oh well, I'm not pulling it apart to swap sealant, so I'll have to hope it holds up for a while.
