extra pulley on water pump?

there were two different pulleys on my water pump, a big one and a smaller one w/o groves. do i need the smaller one?

It's for your power steering isn't it?

That would be just a regular Vbelt while your waterpump and alt are connected to the crank with a serpentine belt.

You cant remove that pully bc it will miss align your water pump belt and cause premature failure

my pulley was already not inline as it was on flipped see here. but now it's perfectly in line after i removed that extra pulley. would i have any problems if i run it w/o this pulley that was used for power steering which i also do no have?

Your waterpump pulley was probably backwards from the start. With the power steering and waterpump pulley's installed correctly the belt will ride normal. Even though it looks straight it may be a little off. Reinstall the pulley's correctly and have piece of mind knowing it's all on there right.
