Upper travel stop...adjusting clutch pedal freeplay

I'm curious...

To gain additional free-play at the top of the clutch pedal, how exactly am I to adjust the upper travel stop?

My head tells me that I need to back it out a bit (counterclockwise when sitting in driver's seat, or "loosening")??

Since I'm fighting an inconsistent pedal adjustment, I've decided to try focusing my attention on the upper travel stop...

Just not 100% sure what to do with the thing,

Yes you will turn it counter-clock wise. You may also want to check your fluid, slave, and your master as well if you haven't already done that. Also if you just replaced these you could still have air in your system.

I recently replaced my clutch, flywheel, slave, and master cylinders. All are brand new. RRE's SS clutch line also went on. System is completely devoid of air. Fluid is brand new, and clutch MC reservoir is filled properly.

Of course, once I finished with the install of the new parts, I had to adjust the clutch pedal right away. I did that, piece o cake. Broke in the clutch with 400 miles of around-town driving. After break-in was complete, I started noticing the symptoms of pedal pump-up. I adjust the pedal, and all's fine for 5 miles or so. Then the pedal gets stiff, and the engagement point changes....symptomatic of pedal pump-up. I adjust, adjust, adjust, and now I've finally decided to focus on the upper travel stop.
