Alright never had this problem before, never even heard of it, but I have noticed that three or four times in the last couple of months I have been driving and all of a sudden smelled burning rubber....LOL. the first couple of times I figured I didnt clamp the radiator hose down and it slid off. it sucks because when it lays up against me exhaust manifold it just burns the shit out of the hose. Same thing happened today I got home and it was off the radiator again laying up against the manifold again. I got to thinking though is it possible for the radiator hose to just come loose like that or does it have to be loosened and pulled off? I know when I have replaced it in the past I had to loosen the clamp and wiggle the hose off. My dumb ass neighbor told me it might be back pressure pushing it off. I don't know about that one but I'm not a radiator hose expert...

help would be nice thanks guys....

You need to specify. Is the hose popping off of the radiator or the thermostat housing. What are you using for clamps. Are they being properly tightened. If the hose is popping off the radiator, is the neck of the readiator broken? Report back.

Check engine mounts. Bet your problem is a combination of dead mounts and a weak clamp.
Causeing the hose to be pulled off..
Try roughing up the radiator snout and the inside of the hose with a green scotch brite pad.

MY bad like I said I haven't ever had a problem with the hoses. It is being pulled off of the radiator at the top. good post though I do have a crapped motor mount on the driverside. but the clamp is good I tugged on it after I clamped it down it wasnt going anywhere. I guess I should fix that motor mount this week, and get another clamp! for a minuet I thought it might have been my neighbor f*cking with me he is jealous my 2g waxes his gsr all the time....LOL I left my hood up for a couple of hours yesterday while I went to the store...

OOO bad! Never Do that with other DSM guys around. My buddies are Known to sabotage!
We dont do anything that can hurt ourselves our cars or engines, Just some random fun.:D

If you have a motor mount problem thats causeing the hose to be pulled it will be the
front or rear mount probly both. Given you say you do have a bad side mount, I'm almost positive you have bad front and rear mounts.
Take the Time and upgrade to some good polymounts.

im not an expert either, but i would guess just the inserts. The actual motor mount should be fine.
