Edmonton,
Hey Guys, New member thanks in advance for the advice and help.
So I just got a 1993 Talon TSI AWD and I would like to put an Evo 3 Turbo on it. What do I need to do to the car to make this install a success. Do I need bigger injectors, a fuel pump, or what? Also is a fairly simple install? A complete list of parts and the rough cost estimate would be awome. Thanks in advance guys
John

i would put 550cc injectors minimum , 190 walbro fuel pump re-wired., its a fairly simple install it bolts right up to stock exhaust manifold, oil lines and water lines. i would get a new exhaust manifold gasket, exhaust manifold to turbo gasket, o2 housing to turbo gasket, new crush washers for oil and water feed banjo bolts, new oil return gaskets, new downpipe gasket.

also u may look into getting a 2g exhaust manifold and port it out, if your 1g manifold has any cracks etc.. 2g manifolds are less prone to cracking.

total price of all gaskets 70-80bux. plus evo3 turbo cost

Keep in mind these are just estimates.
These are the "must buy" parts.
Evo III 16G: $550
New gaskets: $60
(http://www.slowboyracing.com/more.php?id=3746&)
Compressor outlet gasket: $5.98
You'll want to do an oil change while you're at it, so
Oil filter: $5
Oil: $18

Total: $638.98

These are "if you want to" parts.
Walbro 190lph fuel pump: $100
Re-wire kit: $20
2g exhaust manifold: like $30 used

Total: $150

Ok so this may sounds tupid but I am only 16 and just starting the whole tuning scene. But since I am putting new injectors and this fuel pump in, what is the rewiring kit? Also what does porting out the exhaust manifold mean? Will I have to adjust my air to fuel ratio at all, and what am I looking at for a change in Horsepower? Also my stock internals on my engine should be able to handle this increase in boost? Thanks again for your time and effort.

A search for "EVO III 16G" would have given you all the answers you are looking for. There is no point in members typing stuff when you can find everything you are looking for by searching.

This answer was a very good post and in fact a step towards what you need to know.
Please check our FAQ section or the tech guide or possibly search for other questions before posting a topic about them.

Thanks,
John
