Courtice,
sorry guys i couldnt find anything on a 1g n/t to put in a turbo.. ive tried searching but tells me to narrow it down.. so dont get mad.

I have a 1992 Talon NON turbo fwd. there was a rumor at a local meet that i would need to replace my valves, pistons, and cams for a turbo application. i dont want a huge turbo just a little something to learn on. i rebuild the cyle head myself and im only 19 and had no experience. im good with cars and know quite a bit now. ive researched my hass off. please tell me what i would have to replace other than the turbo kit. eg cams, valves, cyls. thanks dsmers

How much power do you want? How much money do you have?

...you're absolutely sure you dont just want to buy a turbo car?

This will tell you everything you ever need to know. And good luck, from what I hear its a lot of work. A lot of people will tell you to just buy a turbo car since that is the cheaper route over all, but if you want to do the conversion, go for it.

p.s. I hope that link works

Keep the car stock and don't sink any $ or time into it and buy a turbo one. You can find them cheap on craigslist or what have you. Then when your turbo one breaks you will have a car to drive to go pick up parts :)

LOL thats true. well i dont want that much power. I want to put a turbo in for the experience. i would be doing all the work my self but im not too heavy in the pocket.. if you know what i mean. Thanks everyone i may recosider now :p

It's cheaper to buy the ecu, injectors, resistor pack, fpr, piping, intercooler, boost controller, downpipe, 1g exhaust maniod and 14b BY FAR!

You'll have a stronger setup too, because you will have a 9:1 compression motor. The pistons will be weaker to detonation. So be sure to log.

It is also likely you have a 6-bolt n/t which has the SAME famous stronger rods as the 6-bolt turbo engine. When you're ready, just a piston swap and you will have a reliable 450whp block!!!

You're totaly right. Im sorry Daaan I didn't realize that post I found of vfaq wanted you to change literally everything, sorry if that put you off.:coy:
