I was wondering if its possible to replace those square tubing looking things with a stronger square tubing. Mine are all bent to hell.

Pictures are from Dxc545 (thanks! by the way) but the conditions on my car are alot of worse then that.

Ha thought that looked familiar. I can get more pics too, its still on stands. It looks worse in person.

Hey, thanks again for picture.

Anyway here are some pictures. Looks pretty bad. I just want to repair it for my sanity :p

Get some square U-channel and weld it right over the existing rails. Might want to drill few holes in the bottom of them so water can drain out. Or even fill them in with A-B foam (or other construction foam).

Another idea to consider...

The whole goal is probably reinforce the car, connect north with south, and to prevent future mangling and destruction of that area.

Leave it bent.

Those are supposed to have bends in them for unibody collapsing in case of an accident.

Mine is sooo much worse than that. In my case I wouldn't even contemplate repairing it, as the only real solution would be a whole shell swap.

The entire underside of mine looks like it was attacked by a baseball bat, but it's just from rocks... Big rocks... And bottoming out, on rocks.

Ouch you make it sound depressing. Since the shell isn't that good, I'll probably use it as a test bed for structural mods down the road.

Now where is that resolved button at??

Eh, they won't affect anything on mine atleast, since the whole thing is seam welded and it's got a rally cage in it, keeping it straight and rigid... It's just ugly.
