i have a g4cs stroker motor, eagle crank, rods, wiseco pistons. and built head etc.
The guy who owned the car before ran the car with the oil galleries to the balance shafts unblocked. he said he never had turbo oil pressure issues or oil pressure issues. I have the whole engine together minus the timing belt. what do you guys think i should do? i have built many 4g6 motors before and blocked the oil passages. but of coarse killed the turbos short after.
The motor blew up before and killed rod journals 2-3 due to the crank being previously bent. has any one else ran their motors with unblock b.s oil passages? the turbo blew from oil contamination and and being sent back from pte with a new chra.
I thought that the oil would drain back into the pan. but i also know that the balance shafts are pressure lubricated and thats all accounted for when the engine was designed. but would not blocking the b.s passages greatly reduce the oil pressure to the main and rod bearings?
