So i've been having this code,P1105 (Fuel Pressure Solenoid) so of course the first thing i do is replace the fuel solenoid. The car ran about 3-5 days with no light after i reset the ECU, but then the light came back on. I tried bypassing it, but same thing. So I'm thinking its the fuel pressure regulator? I'm thinking this because i can smell gas occasionally while driving or when my engine is running. I've also read it could be incorrect spark plug gapping? But i doubt that would cause a smell of gas. Anyone agree that i should probably replace the fuel pressure regulator? I really can't stand this CEL, i really just want to get my car to good health before i start modding. Thanks guys :dsm:

if your smelling gas i would really look int that. have u taken the fuel pump out at any time? that opens right into the cabin and uses this black tar like sealant. atleast thats the way it is in the 420a's.
i know that may be unrelated, but i would still check for leaks or tank pressure issues.

Haven't touched the fuel pump. I'll probably be getting an oil pressure gauge soon, would that be a good idea to see if im getting proper pressure?

Not sure what you mean by that. No, an oil pressure gauge will tell you no useful info regarding your fuel issue.

It's an electrical issue. The fuel pressure regulator has nothing to do with the code. Clean the terminals for the plug.

I've tried that before but i guess i'll try it again and get it the best i can. But as a side note, with my old FPS, after i disconnected the battery to reset the ecu the CEL would always come back on the second start, even with no driving in between. With the new FPS it will take a few days of driving to come back, which makes me confused.
I appreciate the help guys, i hate this code.

I had the same CEL. I reset the light (remove positive battery terminal for 20 seconds), removed all the emissions lines (following the Taboo speed shop diagrams on this forum), left the fuel pressure solenoid plugged in, and the light hasn't come back on in months. Hope that helps.

So should i just ignore it?

Pretty much, The only reason I cared was because I needed my emissions and safety done to register my car. I then went to my local Mitsu dealer and told them the light wouldn't go off even after replacing the solenoid. They went in, cleared it and then did my safety and emissions. But they did charge me an hour of labor.

The year after I bought dsmlink and it was gone, haven't had an issue since.

i had the same code in my car. i ended up swithching to dsm link and removing the emmision system. but any way its a wiring issue with the fuel pressure solenoid. you can try to change the solenoid out for a different on if that dosent fix it then you have a wiring issue with the solenoid either bad ground or bad connection to your ecu . if you have a dvom ( digital volt olms meter) you can check the wire for continuity to see if the wire is broke going back to the computer

Sooo... basically, it isnt really hurting my car? It's just a signal error? Does that mean the gas i occasionally smell is unrelated?

No its not going to hurt your car, its basically for cold starts it changes your vacuum to your fpr adjusting the pressure. I had the same problem, replaced the solenoid and cleaned the connector. When it was malfunctioning i could barely start my car when it dipped below 0 deg c.

I would be looking for your fuel leak its a seperate problem and more critical.
