turbo upgrade time

I have roughly around $1000 bucks to spend on a turbo. No supporting mods yet, bone stock GST. Trying to collect all my parts.
Turobs I have considered:
Spper 20g
Bullseye Power 56mm
Bullseye Power T04B 50 trim
Bullseye Power TO4B V trim
Borg Warner S256
PTE 5031e
Holset 35x
My goal is to get around 300-350 with stock internals, but still want enough turbo for about 400-450 max when I build the motor. If you do not recommend a turbo in the list what would you suggest?

I would suggest at least getting something good to tune with before even thinking of upgrading the turbo (reflashable 98/99 or Evo ECU, 95 EPROM, link, etc). It'll be a lot easier to learn to tune on a stock car anyways.

Parts so far I have: 95 Jeff O socketed ecu, ebay FMIC, SAFC(in car now). Still need to pick up fuel mods.

HX35 in a bolt-on housing. Quickest spool and the most airflow of all the turbos you've listed here.

eBay, Cummins forums, etc. Hanging out at your local diesel shop isn't a bad idea either.

The prices are going up on HX35's though. Core prices are up to the $200-$250 range, and it's a gamble that you're getting a useable turbo at that price unless you know where it came from.
