Turbo swap

A buddy of mine has a T3 that he is selling.....will that direct bolt onto my manifold and downpipe or will there be an issue. If anyone has done this swap.....what will I be looking at???

more then likely, no.

but you have to give us more information... there are several T3 turbos out there... but more then likely you'll have to modify oil lines, etc.. and be sure you have all supporting mods for a turbo of that size, you can't just bolt it on to a stock car.

It wont bolt directly to the stock manifold, garrett turbos have a different bolt pattern/flange than mitsu turbos. You will need to get a manifold made for a garrett, and you would have to check to see if you o2 will bolt to it as well (most mitsu o2's will have problems with full garretts) not to mention, you'd still need all the supporting mods for any larger turbo. (injectors, fuel computer, fuel pump, etc....)

He say's its an HKS. And honestly.....I dont personally want to go THAT big. I would be happy with 350-400hp from the car REALIABLY. I know thats actually asking alot for a car to make that and be a daily driver. But I can dream


Evo 16g turbo I think with a matching manifold would be a nice match. Thats just me.

I once saw an article on teh difference's between an Evo 16g and a Big 16g....was good reading. Wish I knew where it was.
