heres what id do.

take off the blitz sides and put on the 9799 clipse side. leave on the blitz rear, get a white rmlip for the front, and leave the spoiler off. thats would look hot as hell imho

I don't think it would look right if he had the blitz rear and stock sides and front... would look like he got rearended and had them put on the blitz rear in anticipation of a body kit.

I'd just leave it as is, put a thumbnail spoiler on it if you really want some sort of spoiler. I've thought about taking off my turbo wing many a time because it always seems to be in the way when I'm looking behind me for lightbars on the roofs of cars.

Wingless is so much better. Its all about the smooth lines and a wing spoils smoothness.
 
I know there's been a thread on this but I really cannot find it. I saw a talon with an eclipse turbo spoiler on ebay and i think it looks sick. Anyone have any pics of this? also, where can I buy one? thanks

Granted it's a 95-96 style and still has the "thumbnail" spoiler, but here you go (not my car):

i put this turbo spoiler on my 95 gs that i used to own. bought the spoiler on ebay. only problem were the holes that were left from the stock spoiler (covered up with silver material for a time being). I had it done a car shop called swift motorsports, cost me about $100.:thumb:

my car is exactly like that, but im planning on removing the thumbnail spoiler when i paint it, you can get the turbo spoilers on ebay or at the classifieds section..
 
Hey guys
Going to do a 97-99 conv. Quick question. I won't have to do any customizing on the spoiler will I? It will bolt right into the holes of the the center spoiler piece right?

If you're putting the factory high wing in place of the factory low wing then no thats not going to work. You have to drill new holes and close up the old holes from the low wing. Theres welding and body work involved when switching the wings if you want it done right. Have fun.
 
I just removed my 3 piece wing about a month ago....theres 14 holes you have to fill,15 if shaving the antenna.Welding is not necessary but it is best,fiberglass strand bondo stuff or "Gorilla Snot" as my friend called it worked just fine for me.

what is gorilla snot? i alwasy seem to feel like fiberglass or bondo will come off or crack or sink and look like crap.. do you apply the fiberglass on the underside and then fill the top or what?
 
We put the fiberglass strand stuff over the antenna hole after we put tape on the backs of all the holes.The holes need to be dented in to give the filler something to sit on top of or else you could just poke it through the hole when you were done,which is probably why you hear of it falling through the hole.The surface also needs to be sanded down real good with something like 180 grit to make sure it sticks...bondo will not stick to clear.I have more pics and can PM you a link to a small general write up I did on it.

When I had my spoiler removed, I had the holes welded shut. It has been over 3 years, and you still cannot see where the holes used to be. I have seen bondo and even fiberglass jobs fall apart within a year. Welding may be a little more expensive, but "do it once, do it right".
 
Im looking into doing a turbo wing conversion on this car i just bought, Its got the three piece wing on it now, and i was just wondering if i should weld all the holes and drill new ones or if i can use any of the holes from the three piece wing for the turbo wing?

I am current doing the conversion and there are I believe 5/6 holes on the sides that have to be welded shut and painted along with the holes on the decklid itself. I can sit my turbo spoiler on the decklid and cover almost all the holes from the stock 3piece I only welded one hole on each side of the decklid towards the back and the turbo spoiler covered the rest(had to make the new holes for the mount) Hope this helps.
