Ahh I am in the middle of ordering stuff for my turbo setup and I forget how many of those oem mani to turbo washers I need.

I know I need 8 for the turbo to mani but do I also need 8 for the o2 housing (punishment racing) and 4 for the down pipe? or no?

thanks

you definitely don't need 8 just for the o2. its only got 6 bolts on it. 4 to the turbo, and 2 to the downpipe. I don't think you use the same washer for the downpipe. I just have split lock washers on my downpipe.

Also 4 for turbo to manifold.

O2 doesntvuse washers. You only stack the conical washers for spring tension.

Thanks for the clearing up. I couldve swore I have been told before to use washers on the o2 housing. I am using the 4 bolts and not a stud at all so I can easily remove it without clearance issues.

Anyways, are you sure about the washer thing??

I run 8 conical washers on my manifold to turbo bolts. Put them so the convex side faces one another. I run 4 washers on the o2 to turbo. I use the ones for head/mani that are on the ends (12mm). I typically don't use anything on the down pipe unless its a nut and bolt set up.

Mitsu ASA calls for this hardware for the o2 housing...
(4) washers - MD132933
(3) bolts - MD062961
(1) stud - MR224441
(1) nut - MD132930

Alex, download the service manual. Theres lots of information in there that you can find without posting these types of questions. As you can see in the picture below (taken from the FSM) there is a washer on the o2 housing bolts. Most kits, like the one ExtremePSI builds, do not include those washers so you'll have to order them from the dealership or JNZTuning. It looks like they're about $1 a piece from JNZ.
