Turbo replacement

I need to replace my 1g blown 14B turbo. Are the Big 16g and EVO III 16g direct bolt ons? Do I need slight mods? Please help.

Since you have a 1G, which came with a mitsu turbo, those will bolt right on. no modifications needed.

Correct. Although it is reccomended with the evoIII 16g that the o2 housing and ex. manifold should be purchased as well. I've read that boost creep can occur sometimes.

I say go with the evoIII. The difference between a small and big 16g is so negligible that is not worth it.

Get the EVO16G. It will bolt up no problem, but you will not be able to use it to its full extent until you get the supporting mods to do so.

Ok then, I'll go ahead and order the EVO16G, many thanks to all of you. Also, do you think i can still drive my car with the blown 14b?

As long as there is no danger of the turbo flying apart for some reason, it is safe to drive. The mass air sensor input will change, and it'll inject around the proper amount of fuel. It'll probably run really rich at high throttle/WOT, but it'll get you around.
