turbo replacement

I need to replace my stock TDO4 on my car.Can anyone tell me if I upgrade to a small 16g and limit the boost to 14psi if this will have any ill effects on my automatic transmission? I am not looking for more power at the moment just a good turbo that will keep my options open.

It wouldn't hurt you at all as long as you can control yourself from cranking the boost up. It's kinda hard to know you have that type power sitting under your hood and not use it. So you have the right idea on upgrading to keep your options open. Just don't get that urge to overboost.

I have a manual, so I have different cams+injectors than the auto, but I put in a 16G without any problems, and have been running that way for a year now.

I have no other mods really.
