On the comp housing housing you want to port the out the outlet to where it attaches to your jpipe.

So this will really work??? I have my 14B already ported from the turbine housing but I was wondering if porting the compressor housing on the outlet will really work???

I am about to take out my turbo so maybe is time to get the outlet ported...

Let me know

Yes it will work, but you are going to want to pull the cover off the turbo while you do this so you don't get any shavings that can blow into your engine.

Ok, Thanks a lot!!! I Will get the compressor housing out and I will get it ported alone... after cleaning it will install it again... Hopes it works and help my turbo to flow better :sneaky: :sneaky:

Thanks in advance:thumb:

What pipe should I use instead of the J-pipe if I port the comp housing outlet? The stock j-pipe will be too small in diameter since it's the size of the stock outlet hole.

dejopn tool sells one for $40 bucks, adn it's nice, and it even has a diagrahm, of exactly where you want to port, to match it to the pipe.

I was thinking to get the inner diameter of the compressor housing outlet ported... so the stock j-pipe will still fit since the outer diameter will be the same... am I right???
That was my idea of porting the compressor housing...:sneaky: :sneaky:

Ok so i was finally able to come home and take everything off and report it. I was not, however, able to save up for a new exhaust mani or evo3 o2 :( . I just am in the middle of porting everything and was wanting to see how much further i need to go on the wastegate entrance. Btw i still have to smooth everything out and also port the wastegate exit so dont assume that i am done just yet. Anyways here are the pictures. Btw how much in and out shaft play is ok? I have a tiny bit, but as far as i can tell the blades do not hit anything.

I have been using that page, but i was just asking if it looks like i grinded enough from the wastegate entrance. Ive still got to grind the rest to match but was just wandering if i needed to go any further.

Looks like you are off to a good start. Like you mentioned just smooth it out and make the opening whole rounder. Make sure that you radius the entrance whole to the wastegate flapper nice and good. More the radius the better the flow.

Good job so far, even though it looks hidious... LOL

I am basically finished now. Tell me what you think. In the morning i am going to go over it with some more sandpaper and probably use some mothers wax on it as well.

taking the housing off is a better idea since you wont have metal shavings inside of YOUR TURBO!!!!!!

Ive already written about why i didnt take my housing off in my earlier thread, but for those that didnt see it i will elaborate. The piece of crap would not come off. I tried everything from soaking it in pb blaster to using a tiny flathead screwdriver and tapping it lightly with a hammer, but all to no avail. Anyways i am going to get rid of those little bumps today, and i meant to say i was putting mothers polish on it. It was really late when i wrote that post. Hopefully this will all cure my boost creep issues.

No need to polish it as it will get carbon coated after the first couple of runs. The key here is smoothness, think of it as sking, any bumps will cause turbulence and slow velocity. Get yourself some 80 and 120 grit sand rolls then finish it of with maybe 300 grit sand paper, also make sure your manifold collector and gasket matches perfectly with your port job.

Ok so i finished everything up but was unable to get anymore pics because my sister needed her camera. I still have boost creep but i think it may be because of something else. Before i reinstalled the turbo i hooked up my air compressor to the wastegate actuator. Using 15psi the arm only moved like a 1/4''. so i uped it to 20psi and the same thing happened but just a little faster. I stuck my finger into the exhaust inlet and while the wastegate was open "all the way" i could barely get my finger to fit through the opening. So with all of that said do u think that i may just have a bad wastegate actuator?

Can someone help me with this? I really need to know whats up and if my wastegate actuator might have gone bad. Also if it has what do i do? can i just buy another actuator online? the only ones i have ever seen have been the t28 17psi ones.

Ihave an evo 3 16g that is brand new itook the internal wastegate out and i need to have it ported buti cant find anyone that can port it for me does anyone know of any places that do or any suggestions

If you want to find a turbo shop, I know there is a shop that does turbo work in Apopka. There might be a few in Orlando or Daytona since you are in the middle.

Central florida turbo or better yet. Why not do it yourself? I'll port it for you

*correction* CFT doesn't do it so just do it yourself it's easy as hell

I called central florida turbo this morning and they dont port turbos and they say they dont know anyone in the central fl area that does.
