Okay so I snaped a bolt from the turbo oil return to the pan.
I tried drilling and extracting the bolt but it did not go as planed.
Would a machine shop be able to fix this?
If so how much should I expect?

Tap it to the next largest size and get the appropriate bolt for it. You may need to enlarge the bolt hole on the drain as well.

yes you should be able to take it to a machine shop and have them weld a flat washer on the broke off part then a nut on the washer. the heat from welding it will loosen it up and you should be able to take a wrench and back it out. i have done this numerous times and it works. you will probably need them to use a tig welder though. if it is of any use to you mark it as useful and i will appreciate it. let me know what you decide.

also you may want to run a tap in it after you get it out just to help clean the threads.

You could do it yourself if you have a drill. Everything (I believe) is included in the kit you can buy. You just drill the hole out to a specified size (drill bit) and install the helicoil with the provided tool. Good to do afterward.

The kit is no more than $10 or so, the machine shop may charge a minimum of $20-$75. You'll really have to call and find out a price.

Edit:
Dang, I didn't fully read the problem. A snapped bolt will either need to come out via BigRSnail95's method or it'll get drilled out. A machine shop will still be able to do it, make sure if they do do it, they fix the threads or get it helicoiled.

UPDATE:
I found one machine shop that would do it for $200.00, I laughed in thier face and told them they are a rip off. So I was going to check another shop and on my way I noticed a shiny red Talon style spyder.
So i went and asked this guy, if he knew a good place to take it and he called his friend and gave me an address.
It took me to a place called ABACUS RACING. A real serious race engine shop that deals mainly with high end cars. They are really great people to deal with.
They charged me a little on the high side of $60.00 but a lot lower than the other place. They used an insert in there, they say thats better than the other methods.
Anywho, Thanks to the guy who lead me to this place, Thanks for helping a a fellow DSMer, LOL. Oh and nice car BTW.

Also while I was at ABACUS RACING I saw a nice honda s2000 and snaped a photo.

Looks good, $60 isn't that bad at all.

It's very possible they did the weld method to get the bolt out and the threads were possible damaged in the process so it was then heli-coiled.

Mrfister11, not everyone has a welder. In fact, I would believe that 80% of the people on here DO NOT have a welder.
