hey, uh my mechanic looked at it and noticed right away from the intake manifold 2 little places were lines should be and 2 places on the turbo lines should be and told me coolant, and that its running and jumping idle like this because theres no coolant being circualated?

help photos of were to put lines etc

There's no lines from the intake to the turbo. The lines on the intake are probably the coolant lines to the throttle body, but they do not connect to the turbo directly. Also the turbo should have coolant flow to it, but it is not a neccesity

I can't help with a pitcure because i don't have coolant lines to my turbo or throttle body, as i disconnected the TB lines to clean up the engine bay a tad, and I am waiting to go get some new SS lines made to feed coolant to my turbo. Go get yourself a service manual for the car ( you will need it a thousand times while owning a DSM anyway) and You can find pictures and specs on how the lines hook up and where.

yea the kid gave me a manual and i had a mitsubishi service one, on how to rebuild everything, im just trying to fix the idle problem, but i dont need those coolant lines right? it doesnt seem like theyve been used in forever

yea you can completely delete them unless you live in a cold place

but i ran my coolant return to my thermostat and my coolant feed from a heater hose where i dont have a heater or a A/C

and my oil lines are of course

i got ac lines still but no compressor mm

I'm currently installing an evo 16g and I've got it mounted in place with the coolant lines attached, so maybe these pics will help you see where the coolant lines originate (I'm using the the stock hoses and lines to the turbo, tho the exact route they take may be different than yours) take a look..

Its the 2 black hoses about half inch round and 5-6 inches long with sqeeze clamps on the ends Take note of where they attach to the motor side.

I don't know which side feeds, and which side returns yet but I don't think it matters does it?

thanks the mechanic at my uncles shop took another look and saids he knows what to do now, hes gonna hook up some hoses and get it connected and run it for a bit and see if any white smoke comes out, hes more worried about the turbo being blown, but if it is i guess i can get a evo 3, coolant is supposed to circualate in the intake right? or below the elbow theres 2 little things that could be for coolant?

The coolant lines that lead to the throttle body are for the Fast Idle Air Valve. (FIAV) You can do a search on here for options on blocking it off, but most people have found that they run into rough idle/idle searching issues when they block the coolant lines off. One of the lines comes from one port on the thermostat housing, and one goes to a water pipe near the back of the head.

The turbo water lines run horizontally, so theoretically it doesn't matter which side is the "feed" and which is the "return".

maybe thats why i have rough idle, the mechanic at the shop said that should be why its running rough
