hey guys, i just kinda want some feedback. I'm no idiot under the hood of the car, i acually no quit a bit about dsm's, but i keep going back and forth on what i wanna do:confused: figured maybe some other opinions would help me, if u look at my profile u see the upgrades i have now..i was wondering if you think it would be worth it to go throught with the turbo conversion or should i sell it and buy a turbo car, along with the mods shown i also just go my trans rebuilt along with a centerforce d/f clutch and a double second synchro...so what do u think:dsm:

also just incase people are going to wonder, the car itself has 100,XXX on it and the interior is mint and exterior has minor scratches but is in pretty good shape for stock paintjob(no dents)

Honestly, stay away from the conversion. It's gonna cost you way more money, time and hassle rather than starting with a turbo car. Sell you car and buy an already turboed dsm. It's easy to find 1g's for a decent price. There's my opinion.

I think AWD is the only way to go, but nobody races form a stop anymore so maybe FWD is the way to go. I also think there is not better feeling then when you launch in an AWD car. I have an AWD TSI.

Exactly. All wheel drive is the way to go. You wont regret your decision later down the road.

People race from a stop all the time. It all takes place at this wonderful place called the dragstrip where racing is actually legal and safe.

ImprtFLYby85, I would advise against bumping threads. It is against forum rules and is frowned upon.

Go awd. As one of the creators of the swap I'll guarantee you less headaches from buying a well maintained awd and better results at the drag strip with the basic mods.

Exactly when you start putting down big numbers, your going to run into traction problems. I would def go with finding a turbo'd dsm already. You can find a 1g AWD around where you live easily, not as easy to find a 2g AWD though. Both of my 2g AWD, weren't purchased in Jersey.

Stay boostin
