i need a turbo for my 2nd gen eclipse gst. My turbo is blown due to the horrible driver before me not knowing that if you run a car with no tune with mods it can cause stress on your motor that can be prevented. Anyways, i need a turbo that can fit right up. I searched the serial numbers and am having prblems trying to find the exact turbo. If you have any tips on how to find exactly what kind of turbo it is PM me with tips. I believe it is a 16g turbo.

I will post pics soon. and the intercooler is a front mount, and the turbo is not stock i can gurantee you that.

Again this doesnt help much, pictures of the turbo and serial numbers would be best. If you can take measurements of the inducers and reducers. If it isn't stock, are you running the stock 2g exhaust manifold? There are plenty of non stock turbos, in fact ever other MHI turbo besides t-25 would be non-stock on the 2g, with Mitsu style flanges for bolt on application.

Do you know if the turbo in the car that is blown is the stock turbo? Does it have an upward facing intercooler spout or does it face down?

FMIC don't really mean much, here on tuners people have made big power with sidemounts. The question above was directed toward not what type of intercooler you have, but how is the piping routed. This can help determine what turbo or how the compressor cover is configured.

downfiring or J-pipe? Or does it have a "bullhorn" look to it going towards passenger side?

I just bought a new turbo because i figured out what it was. the serial was tdo5h i believe. now i am having trouble finding the oil feed line fitting becaue on my old one it is alot bigger than the new turbo, its the same turbo but new gen i believe.:aha:
