I have the 2g maf with the hard pipe in my 1g and with the filter on it, its cutting it pretty dam close the inside of the fender. I have to struggle to get it in. If I put a hx35 in a bep housing in, would it set further over and give me less clearance to put back in the intake pipe?

Put the filter in the corner there by the fender..Attatch the intake pipe to turbo.

Then you will need to force the maf part onto the filter..Done.

If your using a larger filter than a standard 3 inch k&n you may have more trouble..Especially if its a longer filter.

Now that I'm thinking of getting the hx-35 again, Ill bring this back to life. Which intake pipe and filter do I need to run to make the hx-35 fit in my 1gb? I have the injen version now with a 20g with spectra filter and its pretty close to the inner fender.

So it seems the fp 4" intake pipe will work from reading that thread. I did read a post from a guy that said he couldn't get it to work. Anybody else running the fp 4" with the 2g maf without clearance issues? I'm not ready for sd or maft. Thanks Jus for the link, maybe people will be able to find it better with this thread.
