2g intake pipe on 1g??

Can a 2g intake be used on a 1g? I have a 2g MAF....just don't know if there is any fitment issue with putting the 2g pipe in the 1g. I will be using a Supra sidemount - so I will have the SMIC piping still.

It won't make the filter hit the inner fender? I don't want to buy one and then find out that it won't fit

as long as you dont get a huge retarded filter, everything will fit fine. i have done that conversion for plenty of friends and i have never had a problem. and if for some reason you do have a fitment issue, just cut like a quarter inch off the part of the pipe connects to the turbo. good luck!

Mine was a real pain to cram into there, but it fits, I still have the stock intercooler piping also, just make sure you get a small filter.....(lame)

When I bought my 2g MAF the guy sent me a couple pieces of the stock intake along with the filter. The filter is really short, which i dont like too much but if thats what it takes to fit then I guess that will have to do.

Now what about lower intercooler piping out of a 2g? Yes or no? Probably wont fit....

No dont use 2g intercooler piping. I had a 2g intake pipe on my car, the only thing that sucks is the BOV recirculation does not line up at all.

I think that the 2g IC pipes are larger in diameter right? If so then it would be pointless to use them and run them to the stock intercooler with smaller diameter piping.

The intake will work but will be a tight fit on your car.
The bottom intercooler pipes are the same size as the 1g one, just different routing.
I would say just leave it alone and save up for a fmic and replace it al llater, or if not, just save for hard pipes.

Or just solder the wires yourself, pretty simple.
