1g intake pipe fitting 2g maf

i have a 1g intake pipe and i wanna get a 2g maf do i need to buy a new intake pipe or can i just buy the coupling and if i can just buy the coupling where can i get it @ any response is appreciated

I think that the 2g MAF sensor/K&N filter adapter will fit right on to a 1g intake pipe. or if not a 1g pipe then a 2g one.
I would actually like to know this as well for sure. As I am not 100% positive.

I just got my 2g mas...I tried putting it on my 1g pipe and there is no way it fits. It would need to be about an inch longer in circumference. I bought an intake pipe off ebay for 56.99 shipped instead of trying to get one off here for like $100. It fit just right on my 90 gst. with a big16g. By the way, all intake pipes are the same, same dimensions and everything...injen, dejon, and the generic types on ebay. I have friends with dejon and injen and they look identical, all you pay for is the franchise...Consider that when ordering one....Oh by the way, I bought the intake kit and it came with all couplers and adaptor for a 3"cone filter and they supply you with the 3" filter. If you want a name brand intake, just get this one and get injen or dejon or even AEM stickers off ebay for like $5

the intake pipe that you bought was it for a 2g or some how did it just come with a different coupling

You really don't need to spend more than about 10 bucks to make it work so don't go buy a new intake pipe. You can use some "Lowes Motorsports" (or home depot) parts. Just go get a very short piece of 3 inch PVC pipe and they also sell a 4 in to 3 in coupler. It's the very thin one, the thick ones are not exactly 4 inch and 3 inch they are a little big. Jam the PVC into you stock intake pipe and put the coupler on the 2g mas. It's a kinda tight fit in there but it's ## cheapest option and works great. I've got pics if you want to see them on my car. Just let me know.

I bought the pipe for a 2g and it fits just right, It even has just enought room for my bigger turbo outlet pipe and 2.5" licp

I have a 1991 eagle talon that I just bought a 2G MAF for, my issue is that my 1G intake pipe is round while the 2G MAF outlet is oblong. I have been looking on line for conversion kits and or 2G intake pipes but most of them look round.

I found the Injen Y-IS1890P IS Short Ram Intake Pipe but its over $100.00. Are there any other solutions that will keep a clean look?

You will need the adapter plate for a 3 inch filter on the 2g maf.I think xpsi sells them for 50 with the filter.

On a 1g tho go 2g maf and hard intake pipe.

My 1G intake pipe is a softer rubber, so you would suggest going with the ingen pipe or something similar? I would much rather spend a little extra money now and build it out right.
