So I simply thinking of what the previous owner, most likely did not do when he added a turbo to the motor. I already am assuming he upgraded the internals ect.. when he rebuilt the motor. However, some thing he did, were not right which leads me to believe that he did not get the car actually tuned. So now to my questions and wonders.

-Can tuning be easily done by yourself?
-How hard is it to screw something up?
-What would be the best product for tuning the car?
-Is their anything I should also do before tuning the car?
-Should I just play it safe, accept that I don't have the knowledge/tools and get this done professionally?

Yes its my car in the the profile. Not really certain on the kit. Any idea on how to tell? Sorry for sounding like a newbie on that question.

Kyle, you can easily learn how to tune your car. If you search on this forum there are some really good threads that give you information about how to tune. As for what to use to tune, I recommend DSMLINK. It is very popular for our cars and it is what I use. The ECMTuning website has a many good tutorials and a good forum to help you out learning how to tune. You can damage your car if you don't tune it properly and lean it out too much under boost. You definitely need to get a wideband before you start tuning your car. Good luck!

This is the 420a section... So dsmlink won't work. Most 420As go with megasquirt either as a stand alone or a piggy back. Besides adding a piggy back or stand alone there is no way to tune with the stock ECU for a boosted application.
