tuning question. Dsmlink/Wideband

Wideband is a FAR more useful tool than an EGT gauge. You should pick up a GM 3.3bar MAP sensor while your at it. The two of these together make for an excellent tuning setup, with DSMlink that is.

Basically you WILL need a wideband to tune your car. EGT doesn't help you much

Also i recommend you read up on some forums before you start. The Link forums are a great source also a lot of ppl here on tuners have good information for you. Tuning is pretty easy once you find out what You have to do and what to look for when tuning

EGT is just to make sure your not running too hot, hence too lean. Its just a failsafe. A wideband o2 sensor will tell you the exact afr unlike the stock narrowband. You can also wire the wideband into the second o2 sensor and log the afr on dsmlink.

What turbo are you running. Unless your running a large turbo, a stock 2g mas will work perfect.

Id highly advise you get on the DSMLink board. Huge wealth of knowledge.

Yes because it can accurately read more psi (boost).

3.3 Bar = 47.86psi
4 Bar = 58.01psi
5 Bar = 72.52psi

I personally went with the 5 Bar MAP sensor because it was the same price as the 3.5 Bar.

Actually, on all MAP sensor's 1bar is used for vacuum, so a 3.3 bar will only read to 33.35psi, not 47.86. Same with the others.
