alright this is crazy as hell. im running stock boost on a ported big 16g. i have a walbro 255 rewired, fic 650cc injectors, and a full throttle adjustable fuel pressure regulator as far as fuel mods go. i have a adfx fmic, 3" turbo back exhaust, and maft for tuning. so i just bought the car and im starting my tuning.

okay to start with can some one tell me how to post a log.

second at stock boost im seeing 108% injector duty cycle with everything 0 out on the translator. fuel pressure is set to stock 37psi. from 4k up im seeing 8 counts of knock. i was thinking this was rich knock so i turned the WOT switch 1 click to the left and now im seeing 14 counts of knock at redline??? my bumper is telling me im rich by having a bunch of black exhaust gas on it. my plugs tell me im lean by being white. i have a little boost leak at the tb shaft seals (nothing to major). my maft is version 2.0 (the older version) and my settings are right on with my aux at 1 and my base at 7. i thought my 650cc injectors were able to support a 50 trim let alone a little 16g! does anyone know what the hell is going on?

thanks for the help tuners and im sory for the book

Did you set up your base trim with the translator after you adjusted for the injector size? Even though the aux and base knobs are set to 1 and 7 respectively to start with, you would still have to cruise around for a bit at 60 mph and keep an eye on your FTO2 trims to make sure it averages around 100%. If that's good, try another run (with the WOT knob zeroed out) and see where your settings are at.

Make sure you reset your ecu to return the trims back to 100%. Hope this helps.

I'd try bumping the fuel pressure up to 42 psi as well. I could be mistaken about this, but I was told that FIC flow tests their injectors at 42 psi, so your injectors may be underperforming.

i will have to bump the fuel pressure up to 42psi to see if that is the problem. does anybody know why im seeing 108% injector duty cycle with 650cc injectors and 15lb of boost on a ported big 16g?

thanks in advance

The only thing I can think of is either a boost leak somewhere after the MAS, or screwed up fuel trims which will dump more fuel than you really need. Reset your ecu, do a wot pull and see what your IDC shows at redline.

i have very small boost leaks that can easily be fixed with new vacumme lines. i had already reset my ecu and my trims are all kinds of messed up with them being low:139% mid: 331% and high: 110%. im thinking my o2 senor is bad because it held .84v all the way to redline but my bumper is black from running so rich. im also going to swap fuel filters this weekend and check my base timing.wish me luck

There is a chance you did not get 650s?Did you buy them used or did you buy them from a vendor. If you got them from a vendor they are prob the correct size.If you got them from a personal seller, maybe they screwed you.:notgood:

i got them from my buddy scott (v8s_are_slow) in town. he sold me the injectors and the eprom ecu to go with it. so im pretty positive that they are the correct injectors because they work fine with the eprom.....

alright fixed the problem. i was just simply runing rich. i took out gobs of fuel and now my injector duty cycle is at 77% at 7k and this is all on a 20g not a 16g anymore. but only running 14psi untill i figure out this phantom knock...
