I've been trying to tune but it's kicking my ass. I can't even get the base knob tuned right. When I set it by the chart, the o2 fuel trim was bouncing around 100% but mostly below it and the high fuel trim stayed at 85.9, and the I got 2 counts of knock at one point. I leaned it out a little bit and the high fuel trim stayed more or less around 100, better then it was before, but the high fuel trim only went up to 87.6, and zero counts of knock. Well I didn't think the high fuel trim was high enough so I leaned it out another click. As soon as I got up to speed and started logging, the high fuel trim stayed the same I got 8 counts of knock so I turned right off and set everything back to what it says on the chart and came back here. Any help?

Initial setup of the 2.0 maft should be the same as the 1.37 verion. I have a 2g so I'm not quite sure of the 1g trims. You're on the right track though, you want to tune the base knob first, by driving on the highway at 60mph. If your high trim value is only 87 and you want it to be a 100 (right?), so wouldn't that say that you are too lean, and you need to richen it up so that it gets closer to 100? Again, I'm not very good with 1g fuel trims.

If it's 87 it needs to be leaned out I believe. I don't have my booklet right here with me so I can't check tho. But anyways, with one click on the knob, shouldn't it adjust more with 1%?

Yeah I've been using those instructions. I don't understand why the o2 trim is jumping around so much but I can't get the high trim to move much at all.

I will adjust my maft and drive for a couple miles on the freeay and it will richen out. I will leave it and finish my drive and it will be back to 100. But i haven't got to check it recently since my car has been douched

did u reset your ecu? o2 trim from what i understand is basically a real time of what your fuel trims are doing...high mid and low are an average of what the o2 trim is doing..at least thats the way i understand it...try resetting your ecu and leave your settings the way they are...i kinda have the same problem only with my low trims...1 click is too low and the next click is way to high....but as the instructions say, you should drive around a few days before you fine tune it

Yeah, I reset the ecu a couple of times. :(
