tuboed 4g64: momentary idle drop after rev

i finished turboing my 4g64 about a month ago, and for about 2 minutes i had the bov venting to the atmosphere before i saw all the problems it was causing. now it dumps back into the intake pipe like everyone elses.

however, if i'm driving with the car in gear, and then put it into neutral to coast or stop or whatever, the RPMs fall down to my idle, but continue to keep dropping to about 600-800rpms, then it goes back up to normal. if i go right from WOT to letting it idle, the rpms fall even more. one time the engine even stalled. if i rev the motor in neutral same thing happens.

One of the things the ISC is intended to do is act like a dashpot to keep what your describing from happening. First the ECU needs to see the IPS close then the ISC need to be working and not driven out of range in an attempt to get a higher idle speed.

vacume leak maybe... my car does that. If it ever gets under 100 degrees outside I'm going to redo my vacume lines... I'll let you know if that fixes it for me.

I have a very similiar problem. I just turboed my car about a month ago and when im driving and let off the gas and kick into neutral i'll see the rpm's drop to like 600 and then come back up to like the 800-1000 range. I also know my TPS is at 5% closed instead of 8-10% so im not sure if thats affecting it. I have to check all my lines again to just make sure

i really like that car. honestly ive never seen a convertible talon i really like it. and that monster u have only runs mid 15????? wow that setup crazy id be thinking mid to low 13's

i have a turbo 1.8l 1g i have the same problem but my bov is atmosphere dumped.

hahaha, that was when I was not built and non turbo. I haven't ran it with the new set up yet, still working bugs out. Thanks for the props.

I'm really bringing this thread back from the dead.

I wanted to know if SnoopySLR if you ever fixed the problem. I thought i had this problem fixed awhile back and then it started up again. Maybe it is just the vacum lines with a leak. . .i really don't know because i don't remember what i did different last time. I did notice if I adjust the Bliss screw on the TB so that it idles higher it won't rev down. If the rpm's at idle are like at 850 i noticed it will drop when letting off on the gas and clutch quickly.
